Night and Day Perfume Atomizers

how are you?  I hope your week is going well and you have made exciting plans for your weekend.  I haven't yet apart from maybe to hibernate until Tuesday (when my work week starts).  Luckily for me the weather has been warming up. As warm as -1!  That definitely cheers me up.  I love being able to be outside with out feeling like my face is frozen.

As I may have mentioned a few times(!) I'm obsessed with my Prada Candy perfume at the moment.  I really wanted to be able to top up at work but the bottle is much too heavy to take with me.  I went searching last weekend and found these great little perfume atomizers for around 5 euros.  There's a pink one and an orange one, one for day and one for night which I think is a great idea!

You transfer the perfume to the atomizer by inserting the little white plastic tool into the bottom of the atomizer and then you stick the other end on to the top of the perfume bottle with the spray lid off.

Then you push the atomizer down repeatedly and this draws the perfume up in to the atomizer.  I didn't believe that it would work at first but it did and surely enough the little atomizer was full up with my favourite perfume.  It's plastic so it's super light and portable and has been in my handbag ever since.

I think that these little atomizers are great, I just need to find a second favourite perfume to fill up the other little bottle with.  I really like Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh so maybe that will be my next perfume purchase!

January favourites

Hello!

February has arrived, hurrah!  The long dark and lingering month of January has finally abated.  I am already looking forward to spring.  Haha.  Prematurely I know but anyway...
This post is about things which got my through January.

On clearer days the sunrise is still beautiful and has that blue-tinged wintery glow

Candles, candles, candles.  Always scented, they cheer me up and make the dark mornings easier to cope with.  My engagement ring is a no-brainer.  It's too big for my ring finger right now though and I can't wait to get it re-sized so that I can wear it everyday.

My skin went a bit dodge around Christmas time so I went back to using this Garnier Fruit Energy Gel scrub.  My skin is much better now and I really think it's down to this.  I really liked using this but I wanted to try to find something without sodium laureth sulfate in it so had stopped using it for a little while.  Right now it's working so I'll be sticking to it.

I really love the idea of rubbing some fizzy Vitamin C into my skin.  I've been using the Body Shop Vitamin C daily moisturiser religiously for a while and I can't find anything better than it for the price (well actually I got it half-price in the sale).  Paraben-free and SPF 30 makes it a winner.

Honestly I don't know what the Body Shop Vitamin C Skin Reviver does but I've also been reaching for it nearly everyday.  I notice it seems to really protect my skin on those cold wintery days when it's been reaching -15 or colder.  It sits on the skin and provides a tiny amount of coverage with it's subtle iridescence and it smells yummy.  I definitely feel like it's an extra layer of winter protection that my face is appreciating right now.  I imagine it's sealing in the moisturiser.

At Christmas I treated myself to this Prada Candy perfume and I've been putting it on every single morning before I leave the house.  It's warm, sweet scent is just what I need to combat the blues on winter mornings.

I've been using my Joik Chocolate face mask once a week to help sort out my stressed skin.  It's a lovely way to indulge in 15 minutes of relaxation and after I use it my skin feels matt and soft.

Has anything helped you to beat the January blues?  I'm sure February will bring with it some more favourites to add along side these!

My new perfume for 2014, Prada Candy!

I hope you are enjoying your Monday (haha!).  Luckily for me Monday is a day off!  Unfortunately it's been overcast here all day so I've been trying to enjoy the light of my newest candles and also some heart fairy lights I've put up.  I've also got the Christmas tree lights on the tree lit up as it's the last day before you're supposed to take it down (I think?).

I bought myself the Prada Candy perfume for Christmas because I had been wanting it for ages.... Well ever since last summer when I had been out shopping all day in sweltering London and I needed a little bit of sprucing up before I went to watch a show in a theater.  I didn't have any perfume with me so I ran into a department store and sprayed myself with the first perfume I found that I liked which happened to be this one.  I've been coveting it ever since and finally gave in this December, (Christmas being my excuse) and ordered it from Escentuals.com which had 20%off at the time.

I'm a girly girl and so I approve of the pink packaging!  The scent is very warm and sweet so it won't suit all tastes but if you like your perfumes sweet you should definitely test it out.  I find the smell lasts quite a while on me so I just need a quick spritz in the morning and I'm good to go.  For me sugary sweet scents are winter time scents, my Mum always would tell me I would be chased by flies if I wore sweet smells in the summer!  Now is the perfect time of year for something sugary and warm!

Have you updated your scent this year?  It makes me happy to spray this on in the morning and cheers me up for work :)
